Gas Sampler
Overview
The FlareMaster Gas Sampler is designed to capture a sample of gas under steady state conditions as they exist in a flare line. The cylinders are equipped with an external magnetic indicator which shows the actual travel of the internal piston, which, in turn, determines the size of the sample. Both the process side and the pre-charge side of the cylinder are equipped with a rupture disc mechanism which prevents accidental over pressure of the cylinder.
The gas sample harvested from the process will be run through a gas chromatograph in order to provide the flare gas meter with a gas composition profile. If ABLE’s FlareMaster Enhanced Density Module (EDM) software is being used then the FGM will get a full set of flare gas density inputs which will negate the effects of density distorting gas compositions and enhance the mass flow measurement. Typically, this will reduce the flare metering uncertainty budget by 5%.
